Today at  Math Camp we learned mainly about Polynomials and Polynomiography. Polynomiography is computer art with Polynomials. We also learned about Venn diagrams. We were put into groups of three and given a big piece of paper with a Venn diagram. Each of three circles was labeled with our name. We wrote things that were similar and different about ourselves in the circles. 

Other things we learned about:


  • Hypatia: one of the first female mathematicians; Greek
  • Sets: a collection of objects called elements.
  • Critical Thinking: a project to see which group could build the tallest free-standing tower out of one sheet of printer paper and tape.
Estimation: We had to estimate the perimeter of a pennant; whoever won got the pennant.
